R&Y Associates is a research firm with offices in Shanghai and Tokyo. We deliver high-quality insights to support strategic decision-making for clients through industry, market, and expert research. Our expertise spans across Japan, China, and globally.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Intern to join our team in Shanghai. This internship offers hands-on experience in business research across diverse industries, from fundamentals to advanced practices. It provides valuable exposure to consulting workflows and is ideal for candidates aiming to build a career in the consulting or research sector. This internship provides close exposure to the consulting and finance industries, offering valuable insights into industry trends and dynamics.
Location
Near Shanghai Railway Station (上海火车站)
Internship
Period 3 to 6 months (with potential for extension)
Working Hours
5 days per week, at least 3 hours between 10:00 and 20:00 each. Remote work is not accepted.
(Currently flexible options available - focusing on IT related works)
Compensation
RMB 25/hour + performance-based incentives. Outstanding interns may be considered for full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
Understand and analyze project requests from clients
Conduct research on relevant experts, companies, and industries using tools such as LinkedIn
Support communication with experts and clients
Assist with data entry and booking conferences
Required Qualifications
Strong written and spoken English skills (business level preferred)
Social Media literacy in particular LinkedIn
Japanese language skills and IT proficiency (Python, SQL, etc.) are advantageous but not required
